My Ants keeping journal #2 - the Journey so far

Hey G33ks,So a while ago, I made this post about that my girlfriend and I where going to start antkeeping. And a few weeks ago, we managed to get our hold onto some Queen ants as shown in these videos: [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBbCVBD_aks[/embed] [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUE_6rC2vOA[/embed]Now I decided to give you guys some updates. First of all, the Queens are still alive, which for me is a HUGE indication that they are actually queens and now alates :) Here are some pictures of one of the queens, from about a week ago: [caption id="attachment_1175" align="alignnone" width="648"]A Queen ant in the testtube (Photo made by my girlfriend) A Queen ant in the testtube (Photo made by my girlfriend)[/caption][caption id="attachment_1174" align="alignnone" width="648"]A bit of a closeup of the queen ant.
